Hello! My name is Johanna Hood and I am a wife and mother of two. Above photography, homemaking is my ultimate niche. I truly adore it. Photography has allowed me to capture how I view homemaking and motherhood in such a unique and beautiful way. Photographing my children throughout their baby, toddler, and little kid years also gave me a creative outlet that eventually turned into an amazing part-time career.

I've always been obsessed with photography. I remember being ten years old in absolute awe of a post-storm sunset and wanting to capture it in every way possible with my little disposable film camera.

My dad encouraged my love of taking and printing pictures while my mom encouraged my deep love and respect for nature by always taking my sisters and me on the longest, most beautiful walks through magical German forests.

I'll never forget my dad getting me one of the very first digital cameras to ever come out. It was a bulky Kodak and man did I run that thing into the ground. He bought me a printer specifically made for it, too, and I created album after album of our amazing time spent in Germany.

Along with photographing clients over the years, I have been a successful contributor in the stock photography world. I contribute to Offset, Shutterstock, Shutterstock Custom, and Cavan Images.

I'm so grateful to God for my life and the blessings he's bestowed upon it.

Wedding Officiant


This is my husband, Bear. (Cool nickname, right?) He's the literal, actual best. The best husband, best father, and best Police Officer the city of Savannah could ever hope to have. Oh! And definitely the best wedding officiant. He's hilarious and so easy to talk to. Talking to him makes you feel like you've known him all your life and you'll for sure be deep belly-laughing in no time. He's SO funny.

We're high school sweethearts who, as military brats, met in Germany wayyyy back in 2002. We started dating in 2003 and have had a whirlwind of adventures since. If I had to describe our life together in two words it would be beautifully chaotic. While our life has had its challenges, it's also had countless blessings. Blessings that include getting to combine our gifts in the most meaningful and special way.

This hardened Army Vet-turned-Police Officer might look tough on the outside, but he perfectly epitomizes the term "teddy bear" given to men. He's fierce, strong, and protective when he needs to be but is caring, nurturing, and loving when it really, truly matters.
